Introduction
I’m Diarra, a mom of two with Senegalese roots residing in the Netherlands. As a teacher
at the ROC of Amsterdam, a former healthcare professional and a student, I exude a great
passion for health and well-being through my work and everyday life. These different roles
are all part of who I am.
About me
My children are at the heart of my life. I want to be there for them, create beautiful
memories together and watch them grow up.

Health and well-being have always been important to me. My own experiences have
made that interest even stronger. I enjoy learning about nutrition, movement, personal
care, wellness and personal development.

In 2023, while working a full time job, I started a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and
Dietetics. Over the years, I have gained a great deal of knowledge and have learned how
important it is to find a balance between health, limitations and everyday life.
What matters to me
My support system means the most to me. My children, my mother, my family, my partner
and my friends give me love, support and strength.

Over time, I have learnt to appreciate the things that can easily be taken for granted:
spending time together, being able to move, making plans and simply taking part in
everyday life.

I don’t believe that acceptance equates to giving up. It means learning to live with your
circumstances in a way that gives you strength and motivation.

I want to keep looking forward, continue to grow and make the most of the life I have.
